Film Lockdown I finished off a great year filming Lockdown in December. The story involves a campus shooting and I play rookie cop Jen who has to help resolve the conflict in the small Massachusetts college town. The film stars Katee Sackhoff of Battlestar Galactica fame and will hopefully be released in late summer 2012. Siren In late August I played the role of an angry diner waitress in writer/director Jesse Peyronel’s upcoming thriller Siren. The film is currently in post-production. More info coming soon but check out the IMDB page here. Angela I starred as the title character in this short film completed last spring. The story centers around the guilt a man feels over his wife’s accident. Check out a video clip. Carolina Wren This independent film screened in May at Purchase College and won the award for best casting! In it I play Billy, an abused woman trying to keep her family together. Saint John the Divine in Iowa I worked with Another Country Films last fall to shoot the trailer for their upcoming feature length independent film. Fundraising is actively underway and shooting looks to start in May of 2012. I had a great time promoting the film at Boston Pride this year and it has gotten some great online attention (MarriageEquality.org, CardCarryingLesbian.com & AfterEllen.com) as well as being selected as a finalist for The Roy W. Dean Writing and Film Grants NYC Grant! It was chosen from over 200 applications as a finalist. You can watch the extended trailer for the film on my videos page and see a few production shots here. The Last Shot Beyond Measure Productions premiered their latest feature, in which I play schoolteacher Ms. Walker, to two sold out audiences at the Boston Independent Film Festival. The trailer can be viewed here. Theater Spring Awakening Spring Awakening with the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club was a great success with a sold out run at Oberon in December. I had the pleasure of playing all of the adult women with a talented cast of Harvard students. Breakfast With Mary I had great fun with the summer stock production of a new play by Curry College Playwright in Residence, Gail Phaneuf. The comedy Breakfast With Mary premiered at the Deertrees Theater in Harrison, Maine. Diary of a Catholic School Dropout This play premiered last winter and was written, directed and produced by Layon Gray, acclaimed playwright of the off-Broadway sensation Black Angels Over Tuskegee. We had a great response to the play which received a one-week extension. I would like to thank everyone who came out to support my first off-Broadway production! Enron The U.S. regional premiere of Enron at Zeitgeist Stage in Boston was a huge success! Check back soon for more details. Royal Pains In early summer I was privileged to stand-in for actress Autumn Reeser on the set of Royal Pains. Look for her guest starring role this season on USA. Voice Over Frontline My voice can be heard in two recent episodes of Frontline. I did some English translation voice over for episodes, Lost in Detention and Opium Brides. Both episodes can be viewed on the PBS website. Print Claudia Moriel Yoga Claudia invited me to do some poses with her to promote her new website. Dance Hot Snow This Dance-theatre/Club-art piece had a great run over the summer and I was proud to help creator Sonia Carrion co-produce it as well as perform in it.
